ST. LOUIS - In the wake of the historic Meramec River flood and subsequent damage to Worldwide Technology Soccer Park, Mission Taco Joint has offered to help in the restoration effort by donating 20% of all sales on Monday, January 11.
Co-Owners of the Tilford Restaurant Group, Adam and Jason Tilford explained their desire to help with the Soccer Park Restoration Fund. "I've been enjoying soccer at the Soccer Park, both as a player and now as a fan, for over 25 years. It was amazing to see my nephew, Kieran Tilford, win the Missouri Class 3 Championship with Webster Groves High School last Fall and a huge sense of pride to be able to sponsor STLFC with my brother, Jason, last season.” said Adam. “It was heartbreaking to see the devastation from the recent floods and we couldn’t be happier to help with the restoration fund by donating 20% or our sales from both Mission Taco Joint locations on Monday, Jan. 11th."
"I started playing at the soccer park in 1985, for Team St. Louis.” continued Jason. “I have many memories of this park, including most recently my son Kieran winning a second consecutive state championship for Webster Groves High School. I am a strong supporter of both youth and professional soccer, and I consider this park a long standing, historical fixture in our sports community."
Saint Louis FC Director of Corporate Partnerships Kevin Wygant added "Adam and Jason Tilford continue to demonstrate their generosity towards Saint Louis FC and the Saint Louis community with their support from Mission Taco. The 20% in sales donation from January 11th is a fun and creative way to contribute to the restoration fund and reward our fans with amazing food."
