St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC has announced the signing of defender Konrad Plewa from the New York Red Bulls II, pending U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
Plewa was born in Maniowy, Poland and started playing for the New York Red Bulls Academy program in 2010. He attended Seton Hall from 2011-2015 where he scored five goals and provided nine assists in 54 appearances.
In 2015, Plewa signed with the New York Red Bulls II during their inaugural season in the USL. He made 24 appearances, scored three goals, and provided two assists during a season that earned him a call-up to the New York Red Bulls first team in July 2015. Plewa made 23 appearances, including a start in every playoff game, in route to the New York Red Bulls II winning the USL Cup Final in 2016.
“Konrad provides another steady defensive presence with not only good defensive habits, but he is also very comfortable on the ball and makes good decisions, “said STLFC General Manager, Jeremy Alumbaugh. “His playoff experience and role in the championship run last season adds to our strong defensive core.”
