St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC has announced a partnership with Lindenwood University Sport Management Program and Lindenwood Athletics for the remainder of the 2017 season.
“We are excited to enter this unique partnership with Lindenwood University and the Sport Management team,” states Alex Chalmers, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Saint Louis FC. “To be able to prepare students for a career in the sports sector is valuable to the Club – not only in the short term through internships but also by creating long-term job opportunities within a striving industry with qualified and experienced professionals. We look forward to working with them through this partnership.”
The partnership will create opportunities for students in the classroom to conduct market research and further the brand development of Saint Louis Football Club. Likewise, the partnership will facilitate work experience opportunities for the students of the Robert W. Plaster School of Business to develop their careers with internships at Saint Louis FC.
“This is a win-win partnership involving a terrific mix of benefits for our program as well as for Saint Louis FC’s organization,” said Dr. Daniel Sweeney, Associate Professor of Sport Management at Robert W. Plaster School of Business. “This partnership will enhance the experience we are able to offer to the students in our Sport Management program going forward, and we are thrilled to add another building block to our ongoing effort to provide students with meaningful, real-world experiences as they pursue careers within the sport business and entertainment industry.”
