St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC will face Ottawa Fury FC in the 2017 home opener at Toyota Stadium this Saturday, April 1st at 7:30 p.m.
Saint Louis FC comes off a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Louisville City FC in Week 1 of the USL season. The game on Saturday will mark the home debut for Head Coach Preki and the new-look team assembled for the 2017 season. Saint Louis FC faced Ottawa Fury FC in the preseason competition at the IMG Academy back on February 21st with Ottawa running out as 2-1 winners.
Ottawa Fury FC are new to the USL this season after competing in the NASL since 2014. They won the Fall Championship and reached the Soccer Bowl during the 2015 season. Paul Dalglish, the son of Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, is the manager for Ottawa Fury FC and leads the club to compete in the Eastern Conference. The club is also affiliated with the Montreal Impact in MLS. This will be the first match between Saint Louis FC and Ottawa Fury FC.
