St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC scored a dramatic late winner to finish 3-2 over Ottawa Fury FC in front of a sell-out 5,566 at Toyota Stadium.

Ottawa pulled one back thanks to Eddie Edward in the first half before leveling the score with a goal from Onua Obasi in the second half. Saint Louis FC walked away with the three points after an own goal from Sergio Manesio just before full-time.

Saint Louis FC started on the front foot and were on the scoresheet in the 5th minute after forward Milan Petosevic found his strike partner Volesky in space and he calmly finished through the Ottawa goalkeeper. STLFC quickly doubled their lead with Volesky turning provider as his wide pass found Mats Bjurman in space on the right and his shot finished in the bottom left corner. They would eventually find their equalizer with Obasi finishing through a crowd of players in the 83rd minute. However, Saint Louis would not be denied as substitute Max Alvarez finished a great solo run from Volesky with a shot that went past the keeper and was bundled in by Ottawa defender Manesio to win the game in the 88th minute. Ottawa would end the game with 10 men as Shane McEleney was shown a straight red card for pulling back Alvarez on a clear goal-scoring opportunity in added time.
