St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC will face Pittsburgh Riverhounds away at Highmark Stadium this Wednesday, April 12th at 6:00 p.m. CT in Week 4 of the USL season.
Saint Louis FC (2-0-1, 7pts) comes off a dramatic 3-2 victory against New York Red Bulls II in front of 4,807 at Toyota Stadium last weekend. Christian Volesky made it two goals in two games with his opener in the 3rd minute before earning the penalty that was converted by Jose Angulo to level the score in the 74th minute. Angulo, a former Pittsburgh player, also provided the game-winning assist for Seth Rudolph in the 83rd minute. He returns to the club where he scored 27 goals in 43 appearances and was crowned the 2013 USL MVP.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds (1-1-1, 4pts) host Saint Louis FC after earning their first win of the season over Charleston Battery at MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday night. The win broke an 11-game winless streak dating back to August 2016. They are led by Corey Hertzog who is tied with four other players with three goals this season. The clubs played twice during the 2015 season with both matches finishing in a 1-1 draw.
