Saint Louis FC will open its inaugural 2015 season at Louisville City on March 28, before holding its home opener against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on April 11.
USL PRO announced the home opener for every team in the league on Saturday. The entire regular season schedule will be released on Monday.
"Opening up the regular season at Louisville City is a fantastic way for Saint Louis FC to begin its historic inaugural season," General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh said. "Not only are we playing another expansion franchise, but also a club that we imagine we will have quite a rivalry with."
Saint Louis FC and Louisville City are two of 13 new franchises joining USL PRO in 2015. Both teams are members of the newly-announced Eastern Conference in USL PRO.
Pittsburgh finished 11th in last season's league table with 32
points. The Riverhounds have been a member of USL PRO since
2011, making a pair of playoff appearances.
"Our home opener should be a special night at the Soccer Park," Alumbaugh added. "Pittsburgh is a team that had a tough season last year, but was in the playoffs in 2013. (Head Coach) Mark Steffens has a great history, taking the Charlotte Eagles to the league final in 2013."
Kickoff for the home opener on April 11 is scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Soccer Park. For tickets, email email@example.com.
