ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis Football Club has announced its 2015 preseason schedule, which consists of four friendlies between February 28 and March 21.
“We’re looking forward to getting our guys in here for camp and playing some quality opponents in the preseason,” Head Coach Dale Schilly said. “With so many new players, it will be crucial for us to get some good performances under our belt before the season opener against Louisville (on March 28).”
After two weeks of preseason camp, the club will visit SIUE on February 28. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Korte Stadium in Edwardsville, Ill.
The final three games of the preseason will be played against fellow USL PRO clubs.
Saint Louis FC will play a neutral-site game against Oklahoma City Energy FC on March 5 at 6 p.m. The game will be held at the Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.
STL FC will then play a home-and-home series with Tulsa Roughnecks FC to wrap up its preseason schedule. The teams will meet at the Soccer Park on March 14 at 7:30 p.m., before playing in Tulsa on March 21 at 7 p.m.
“We’ll have a much better sense of where we’re at after these four matches,” Schilly added. “Our preseason will be a six-week grind, but it’s going to put us in good position to start the regular season off on the right foot.”
STL FC will open preseason camp on February 16 at the Soccer Park.
