OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Saint Louis FC earned a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma City Energy FC in front of 4,382 fans at Taft Stadium Saturday night.

With the victory, STL FC moves to 2-2-1 (7 pts.) on the season.  Oklahoma City suffered its first loss of the 2015 campaign, falling to 2-1-1 (7 pts.).

The hosts grabbed a quick lead after midfielder Chuy Sanchez scored in the 13th minute of play.

It didn't take long for STL FC to find its equalizer, however, as Jamiel Hardware scored in the 32nd minute to tie the game at 1-1.  After beating a pair of defenders in the penalty box, Hardware was able to put a shot past OKC goalkeeper Evan Newton to score his first goal of the season.

Just ten minutes later, Saint Louis FC grabbed a lead it would never relinquish.  Oskar Gasecki hammered a shot off the far post, but the rebound found an unmarked Mike Ambersley in the center of the penalty area.  After settling the ball, Ambersley was able to beat Newton from close range to give Saint Louis the 2-1 advantage.

Goalkeeper Mark Pais made five saves en route to his second victory of the season.

STL FC will now have a bye week before returning home to face the Wilmington Hammerheads on Saturday, May 9th at World Wide Technology Soccer Park. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
