Irvin Herrera was named on USL's week 10 Team of the Week, after his goal on Sunday.
This is Herrera's second consecutive selection, after being named Player of the Week for his four goals against the Tulsa Roughnecks on May 21st.
In Wednesday's game against Rio Grande Valley FC, Herrera launched an incredible goal to even out the score 1-1.
After receiving the pass from Richard Dixon, Herrera finessed it with the inside of his left boot to curl his shot into the top left hand corner, bouncing off the post and going in.
Head Coach Dale Schilly had all positive things to say about Herrera after the game on Wednesday.
"Every team needs a guy that they can go to and count on for goals, and right now he [Herrera] is the guy… He is working hard and finding opportunities and when he finds the opportunities he is putting the ball away."
Watch Herrera and the rest of the Saint Louis FC squad return to action this Wednesday, June 1 when it hosts Minnesota United FC in the 3rd round of the U.S. Open Cup at 7:00 p.m. cst.
