Saint Louis FC returns home after a disappointing road loss against the Tulsa Roughnecks. Saturday night they host one of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

In the most recent match-up between these teams, the Switchbacks had the advantage and won 2-0. Saint Louis traveled to Colorado after playing three matches within a week. The team gave up an early tally and was not able to get back into the match.

The Switchbacks are coached by Steve Trittschuh, who is no stranger to the Saint Louis area. After growing up in Granite City, he played college soccer at SIUE and went on to coach a season there with STL FC coach, Dale Schilly.

The Switchbacks travel to Saint Louis from after playing to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday against the Swope Park Rangers.  Our cross-state rivals scored late to equalize in the altitude on the road.

In the USL Western Conference standings, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC sit in the third spot, while Saint Louis FC have dropped to eighth and final playoff spot. It is crucial that STL FC finds points or they risk not making the playoffs.
